More reliable than the GS116 - and now fanless
We have a JGS516 from Netgear which has run flawlessly for a couple of years. We've also had Netgear GS116 switches, which are also in metal cases, but they are smaller boxes with an external power supply, the heat dissipation isn't great and they have been much more flaky with intermittent faults from two out of three units.
Recently we replaced all our GS116s with JGS516s from BT. Hopefully they will be as reliable as our original one. As an unexpected bonus, the latest JGS516 boxes all turned out to be fanless and silent - our original one had a small fan which could be annoying if your room is otherwise silent.
