Write a review for: BT Halo Twin
After putting up with and trying every hack available to cure the distorted awful sound issue (without success). Found the BT help-desk has a fix in the service menu of the handsets, that they will gladly walk you through using a mobile while you input the digits on the phones. Reboot & all is good.
Kill those pesky (even mobile bandits with the Bluetooth function) harassers.
The price of peace is worth it.
Only problem, I forgot the sequence of buttons to press for the service menu so you'll have to ring BT to get it. As mentioned by the other reviews here.
Value 1 because I bought them when they were very expensive and had to wait months for the fix and went through too much troubleshooting of hardware until finding the solution.
Like previous reviewers we’ve had problems with transmission. I preserved till almost returning, but I phoned the product helpline and on a returned call was talked through a simple set of procedures to cure this problem by a very helpful and patient lady called Sarah. This is a great phone with lots of useful features. I have owned this phone for nearly four months and have not had to answer one nuisance call. You can set this to block all international calls and then let any wanted ones back in on an individual basis. It’s useful to take the update call on non Halo extension or mobile.
Update to my recent review , finally got through to helpline whom acknowledged there has been a problem with the HALO. Very helpful girl went through the process of reprogramming the phones , early days but all seems to be working ok at the moment
Got an email stating these phones on offer so logged into the shop and swallowed the blurb hook line and sinker. We wanted to upgrade our house phones and needed a quad pack so BT recommended the twin and two singles. We parted with over £270 and hoped , like our last set , for a few years usage. What we were not told was that the singles aren't extensions and are unusable with the twin phones ! The twin unit was faulty , we opened the box and saw immediately it was a return because the wires were fastened with domestic sandwich fasteners ! Obviously someone else had not liked this phone either ! We connected it to find we could not hear any of our callers , words breaking up and call guardian had my spouse searching for Valium. These are dreadful phones on every level. Design wise they do not stand well and the handset housing is not sturdy. All in al, a dreadful purchase. So.....we started the returns process and a week later we have only succeeded in returning the two singles .
Do not buy before checking the reviews , I wish I had . The sound is so bad when talking to someone its missing every other word , I thought it was a bad line but reading the reviews it seems to be a common problem with the Halo also one of my phones has now stopped ringing which also seems to be a common fault.
The call blocking works great, but the phone is no use if you constantly have to ask the caller to repeat themselves .
Their help line is not a lot of help having spent about an hour on numerous calls over the last week
and getting no answer !
